Carolyn Maxon

Carolyn has been a member of Kitsap Credit Union for more than forty years and has actively performed as a volunteer since 1986. Carolyn initially served as a member of Kitsap Credit Union’s Supervisory Committee and was its Chair for several years. She was elected to the Credit Union’s Board of Directors in 1993 where she served as Chair of the Board for five years.
She also served as Chair and Director of KCU’s former credit union service organization, Kitsap Financial Services.
Carolyn completed her bachelor’s degree from City University. She has also received numerous awards from the Credit Union National Association for her studies in the Volunteer Achievement Program including the Dora Maxwell Award.
She strives to stay current on the continually changing regulatory and financial issues affecting credit unions and maximizes her educational opportunities by attending national, state, and local educational conferences as well as strategic planning sessions.
Carolyn is firmly dedicated to the credit union philosophy and believes that strong committed leadership is needed to face all economical, technological, and regulatory challenges.
Her goal is to continue Kitsap Credit Union’s strong financial stability during these economically challenged times and to continue its service-oriented presence throughout the greater Kitsap Peninsula and beyond. Carolyn is retired from the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Keyport and Envisioneering, Inc., Pacific Western Division in Silverdale.
