Lanny Ross

The Kitsap Credit Union Board of Directors elected Lanny Ross in January 2008 to the Supervisory Committee. As a Supervisory Committee member, Mr. Ross represents the interests and values of Kitsap Credit Union members.

Lanny began his federal career in 1962 as an apprentice welder at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. After graduating from the apprentice program in 1966, he married and began a family. Over the course of his career at the Shipyard, he progressed to the position of Superintendent of the Welding Shop overseeing more than 900 employees. Lanny completed his federal career in October, 1993 holding the position of Project Manager. Mr. Ross serves as the Region Vice President of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.

Terry Thomas, the past Supervisory Committee Chair shared, “Mr. Ross’s experience and background will add value to the Kitsap Credit Union Supervisory Committee. We are pleased to have him representing our members in this capacity.”

In addition to his contributions to Kitsap Credit Union, Mr. Ross has also been very active in community service. He served as President of the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Institute in Bremerton for five years, and remains a member of its Board of Directors. He served on the United Way Board of Directors, and also served more than 20 years on the Vocational Education Advisory Board.
