Wendie Johnson

Treasurer

Wendie has been a resident of Kitsap County since 1988. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Oregon State University and a Masters Certificate in Legal Studies from the University of San Diego. She served as litigation paralegal at two highly recognized Seattle law firms for nine years, specializing in insurance defense, environmental litigation and medical malpractice.

She divides her time among the care of her two children, full-time work as a CPA with a national public accounting firm, specializing in health care, and her committee responsibilities with Kitsap Credit Union. She is also a founding member of the Willow Charitable Foundation supporting homeless causes across the nation. The Foundation was born out of the book “Breakfast At Sallys” by a local Bremerton author.

Wendie has been a member of Kitsap Credit Union since 1990. She is a strong supporter of the philosophy of a not-for-profit financial cooperative working in partnership with its members toward their goals and the betterment of the local community.

Wendie and her family enjoy volunteering for several local organizations to aid individuals in our community. She first began serving on the Credit Unions Supervisory Committee in 1997, returning to that position in 2000 following her husband’s temporary assignment in San Diego with Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. In 2003, Wendie was selected to fill a vacancy on the KCU Board of Directors and is currently a member of the Compensation/Review Committee and an officer of the Board.
