Director's Notes

Dear Premier Club Members,

Happy New Year! I look forward to the start of the new year because it gives me the chance to reflect on the past months, clean out closets and drawers, and begin the new year feeling fresh and organized. It’s also a good time to review our finances! Take a few minutes to reflect on the last twelve months and perhaps make a few New Year’s financial resolutions. I plan to save more in 2012. How about you?

As 2011 ended, I was able to enjoy a wonderful day trip with some new Premier Club friends to the world class, historic Thornewood Castle. This is a 37,000 square foot castle which boasts 52 rooms. It originated in England in the 16th century as a Tudor Gothic manor. The structure was taken down and parts were shipped to America where it was rebuilt on American Lake in Washington, around 1907.

The weather was wonderful, our luncheon at the castle was delicious and fit for a king, and the company and conversation truly highlighted the day! Touring the castle was quite a treat! From the beautiful staircase of 500 year old English oak, to the lead crystal windows and medieval glass, to the sheet music the monks used for Gregorian Chants in the 1700’s, everything about this castle was exquisite! I enjoyed meeting my new friends and look forward to traveling together again soon!

At your service,
