Mary Lou has been a Kitsap County resident for over 47 years and has been a member of Kitsap Credit Union since 1955. She has been a member of the Credit Union’s Board of Directors since 1996. She has served on the following committees during her tenure: Nominating, Personnel Policies, Investment and Lending. She has also served as Secretary, Vice Chair and is currently Board Chair.
Mary Lou has more than 47 years of experience in business and finance with an emphasis on the credit industry. She served as Assistant Treasurer/Manager of the NAVMAR Federal Credit Union on Guam for three years. That credit union grew from $500,000 to $2.5 million in assets during her term.
She was Business Manager for a local car dealer for 18 years. She is the current Comptroller/Office Manager for Thomas Lincoln-Mercury/Advantage Nissan.
Mary Lou has written articles for various credit publications and has been very active in a number of trade associations including serving as President of Credit Professionals International. She was honored by her peers in May of 2004 with the Helen Sawyers Award for Excellence in Leadership.
Mary Lou is excited about Kitsap Credit Unions continued growth with additional branches to further enhance member service. She is looking forward to the Credit Union’s new Corporate Office Building and its accessibility to members in the greater Bremerton area.
Her goal is to assist in protecting member assets and to maintain fiscal responsibility and managed growth.
