Wendie Johnson
Wendie Johnson
Treasurer
Wendie has been a resident of Kitsap County since 1987.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Oregon State University and a Masters Certificate in Legal Studies from the University of San Diego.  She served as litigation paralegal at two highly recognized Seattle law firms for nine years, specializing in insurance defense, environmental litigation, and medical malpractice.  Currently Wendie divides her time among the care of her two young children, part-time work as an accountant with a national public accounting firm, her committee responsibilities with Kitsap Credit Union, and her church.

Wendie has been a member of Kitsap Credit Union since 1990.  She is a strong supporter of the philosophy of a not-for-profit financial cooperative working in partnership with its members toward their goals and the betterment of the local community.  From the time she arrived in Kitsap County, Kitsap Credit Union’s unwavering dedication to the community was clearly apparent.  Wendie first began serving on the Supervisory Committee in 1997, returning to that position in 2000 following her husband’s temporary assignment in San Diego with Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.  In 2003, Wendie was selected to fill a vacancy on the Board of Directors and is currently Chair of the Compensation/Review Committee.  She also served on the Board of the Kitsap Credit Union’s Educational Grants Foundation, developing fundraising programs, and participating in awarding grants for the continuing education of deserving local students.
