Our Hiring Process

Below is an outline of our hiring process at Kitsap Credit Union.
  • Application - You may apply to Kitsap Credit Union by submitting your application on our website. You will have the opportunity to post your resume to your application as well. Candidates may apply to as many positions as they are qualified for.

  • Prescreening Process - Kitsap Credit Union’s Human Resources department will review all applications that have been submitted. If you meet the minimum requirements you may be invited to have a pre-screening interview with Human Resources. Some positions may require pre-employment testing before this pre-screening interview. When candidates are invited to come for the pre-screening process, they will be notified if they will be taking tests.

  • Credit Check - If candidates pass the pre-screening process, the next step would be to run a credit check. Since, Kitsap Credit Union is a financial intuition, we require our employees to have passing credit in order to proceed in the hiring process. In compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, if any adverse information is found during the credit check, Kitsap Credit Union’s Human Resources department will be in contact with you.

  • Interviews - If candidates pass the pre-employment process and credit check, they can expect to be forwarded to the hiring manager for a second interview. This interview will take place at the branch or department in which they have applied for. Interviews are typically scheduled within two weeks after your screening interview with Human Resources.

  • Background Check - If you are selected as a final candidate, we will conduct a pre-employment background check. We verify education, certifications, references and previous employments. We will also run a full criminal check. The background process typically takes three to four business days. If any adverse information is found during the background process, you will hear from Kitsap Credit Union’s Human Resources department.

  • Hire - Once a candidate passes the background check, an offer may be extended and a start date will be discussed.
