The “Keep Up the Good Work!” Story
As a member-owned financial coop, our membership is our top priority and we thought we’d better find out how our local working families - our members - are dealing with the current economic stresses.
We commissioned a survey where we asked a group of randomly-selected members some questions about the economy and how it is impacting their families. We also asked members how credit unions, and specifically Kitsap Credit Union, could help in these tough times.
We expected to hear that we needed to look at some new programs or services. What we ended up hearing was a pleasant surprise, and the message was remarkably direct - - stay the course. KCU member, Lynda put it nicely when she said, “Keep up the good work.”
“Keep Up the Good Work!” seemed to say it all. And we want to say back to you, our members, “You too!”
For local working families, there is no hall of fame, no gold medals, no dean’s list or red carpet.
There is just the everyday strength, nurturing, sacrifice and hard-earned wisdom that keep our families supporting each other.
We think families deserve to hear that their good work doesn’t go unappreciated, especially during this economic storm when we could all use some words of encouragment.
If you know a working family member or someone who is doing a good job, tell them, “Keep Up the Good Work!” It will make both of you feel good.
