Financial Education

The KCU Educational Grants Foundation was founded in 1999 by the Kitsap Credit Union (KCU) Board of Directors with a belief that all people in our communities should have the opportunity to make their dreams a reality by furthering their education beyond high school. The non-profit 501(c) (3) organization helps make those dreams come true by awarding $500.00 to $2,000.00 in educational grants to area students annually.

Kitsap Credit Union funded an initial endowment to the foundation. Since that time, the fund has grown with additional contributions from KCU, KCU employees and individual donors.

Grants are available for all areas of post secondary education. Students wishing to attend a vocational school, community college, graduate school or a university are encouraged to apply.

Students who are Kitsap Credit Union members or are eligible for KCU membership may apply.

The KCU Educational Grants Foundation does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or marital status.
