What You Need

Before we can open your account, your business must be registered with the Washington State Department of Revenue and, if applicable, the Washington State Secretary of State.  In addition to supplying Name, Address, DOB, and SSN (or ITIN or passport #), for each owner and authorized signer, here’s what you’ll need to open your account:

Sole Proprietorship

  • Your Social Security Number.
  • Valid government-issued picture IDs for the owner and any authorized signers.

Partnership

  • Your partnership agreement.
  • An Employer Identification Number (EIN), also known as a Federal Tax Identification Number.
  • Valid government-issued picture IDs for the owners and any authorized signers.

Corporation

  • Articles of Incorporation which outline governance along with your corporate bylaws.
  • An Employer Identification Number (EIN), also known as a Federal Tax Identification Number.
  • Valid government-issued picture IDs for the owner and any authorized signers.
  • Non-profit corporations – Board meeting minutes, signed by the board secretary, that authorize the opening of accounts and list all authorized signers for each account.

Limited Liability Company (LLC)

  • The limited liability company agreement, also known as an operating agreement (if the LLC has multiple members).
  • An Employer Identification Number (EIN), also known as a Federal Tax Identification Number (required if the LLC has more than one owner).
  • Valid government-issued picture IDs for the owners and any authorized signers.

Informal Organization / Association (Not registered as a corporation)

  • Board meeting minutes, signed by the board secretary, that authorize the opening of accounts and list all authorized signers for each account.
  • An Employer Identification Number (EIN), also known as a Federal Tax Identification Number.
  • Valid government-issued picture IDs for any authorized signers.
